Nakifuma MP Joseph Mugambe has said the Domestic Relations Bill will not affect marriages. “People are complaining about the Domestic Relations Bill. l have read it and l know it will not affect you people at all,” he said during a fundraising for Kitimbwa Catholic Church recently.

Gulu MPs hail amnesty
KAMPALA —
Gulu MPs have hailed the Government’s decision to extend the Amnesty deadline for rebels. Their chairman, Zachary Olum, told The New Vision recently that the extension was their top resolution during a meeting they held with members of the region and said he was happy that their plan had been honoured.

Leaders irk Buikwe MP
MUKONO —
Buikwe south MP Anthony Mukasa has accused district leaders of failing to implement government plans in his constituency and misusing funds. “Mukono district gets sh9b annually. Sh55m is for infrastructural development but all our roads are poor and full of pot-holes” he said recently while addressing Buikwe residents at the sub-county headquarters .

‘Appreciate PWDs’
KAMPALA —
The MP for People With Disabilities (PWDs), Margaret Baba Diri, has decried lack of appreciation for PWDs among the public. She said unlike environment and gender which have direct impact on everyone, disability is left to individuals. She was on Thursday addressing a lobby breakfast at Grand Imperial Hotel in Kampala.

Leave polls, says MP
KABALE —
The municipality MP Serapio Rukundo has asked national and local leaders not to interfere in the LC5 by-elections by decampaigning or campaigning for candidates. He said on Friday residents should be allowed to decide and chose a leader of their choice without fear or favour.
