THREE women and two 12-year-old girls were on Saturday burnt to death in a bush fire in Nebbi district, reports Frank Mugabi.
Acting district CID boss Charles Onen said the incident occurred in Pokworo parish in Panyango sub-county between 10.00am and 11.00am.
The victims were identified as Grace Acombo, 34,, Collet Achiro, 28, Natalina Ocida, 38, Nyamungu and Maureen both 12. They hailed from Owoi East,, Pamvora and Paki West villages. They were looking for thatching grass when the fire broke out. The cause of the fire was yet to be established.
