THE old FUFA bus has been sold to Top TV at sh6m, The New Vision has learnt, reports Norman Katende.
Reliable sources said that the bus, which was mechanically not sound and with license fees in arrears was sold to the club that FUFA forced to withdraw a case from court and later reinstated to Super Division League.
“It was valued at sh6m and when we were informed we made the arrangements to pay. We are going to overhaul it and I am sure it will help in transporting the players,” said a source from Top TV.
The sell means that FUFA now remains with one omnibus, which was donated to the federation by former treasurer Mike Okiror. Another van which boosts the transportation of national teams is grounded in Lira.
FUFA secretary Haruna Mawanda and assistant treasurer Ahmed Wadrif confirmed that they assigned federation vice president Godfrey Kwizera to look for a valuer for the bus, but could not confirm nor deny the sale.
