<b>LRA case<br>KAMPALA</b> — The State has named two more Monitor journalists as suspected Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) rebel collaborators.

— The State has named two more Monitor journalists as suspected Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) rebel collaborators. “According to investigations and evidence gathered, Charles Onyango Obbo, Nyakairu and Wanyama Wangah have been collaborating with the rebels,” Kampala Extra regional CID boss Moses Sakira told court yesterday. He was testifying in a case of publishing false news and information prejudicial to national security. Recently, army sources said the newspaper’s Andrew Mwenda and Wanyama Wangah had links with the rebels.

— The assistant commissioner for meteorology, Steven Magezi, has allayed the public’s concern over the current high temperatures. Speaking to The New Vision yesterday, Magezi attributed the apparent heat to rapid evaporation from Lake Victoria. He said the usually hot Kasese and Soroti weather stations had recorded significant temperature changes.
