KOBS tactician Charles Namakola has asked his charges to defy their critics by reviving their chances in the 2004 Athens Olympic soccer qualifying campaign.
The U-23 team that regroups today at Lugogo could not step up preparations earlier due to financial constraints.
Kobs play Morocco away in Raja on February 21, a fixture that will all but determine their fate in the competition.
Kobs, with just a point in three games and bottom of their group, have been accused of giving their opposition too much respect.
But Namakola, who earlier on pointed out that he had never lived in fear of being sacked as coach of the junior side following a miserable campaign, revealed his players would raise their game.
“Its unfortunate we have started a little late in our preparations but the message will be clear to every player, to fight for each ball and keep their spirits up,” said Namakola.

- EXPRESS FC’s stomach for a fight will be put to test in today’s Super League confrontation with Ruhinda at Wankulukuku stadium.
The Red Eagles, who have only managed to get four points out of a possible nine, take to the turf with hope that their former player George Ssemwogerere halts rivals SC Villa in Bugiri.
Prominent businessman Tom Muzira has staked a sh1m cash prize if Old Timers upset SC Villa. However, dangerous Kenyan striker Chrisantos Amboka looks certain to deny them the prize.
r KCC FC’s title aspirations gathered momentum at Nakivubo stadium yesterday after five strikes sunk debutants Moyo FC and propelled them to the top of league with 9 points.
Geoffrey Serunkuma scored two. Tonny Mawejje, Vicent Kayizzi and Jamir Kasiita got one each. Moses Nsubuga scored for Moyo.
