THE fourth edition of King’s College Budo Open schools hockey tournament has been confirmed for this weekend at the school grounds. Kenya schools, Maseno SSS and Starehe Boys of Nairobi have already registered.

THE fourth edition of King’s College Budo Open schools hockey tournament has been confirmed for this weekend at the school grounds. Kenya schools, Maseno SSS and Starehe Boys of Nairobi have already registered. Games master Arthur Mbalule confirmed the school will host the annual MTN Uganda sponsored tournament.

RUHINDA FC has hired EX-Cranes defender Geoffrey Higenyi as its coach. Higenyi last year served a short time at Mbale Heroes. Ruhinda boss, Mugalula Kawalata confirmed signing Higenyi. He replaces Martin Mugabi who quit after they beat Ggaba United 1-0 last week.

Junior Open - Table Tennis

OVER sixty players are expected to participate in the National junior table tennis open that kicks off today in Mbale. The meet has so far registered several upcountry players. The three-day event sponsored by Sekanyolya fencing systems will be used to select a team to the World Table Tennis championships in July in Hungary.

Maruti back - Soccer

COACH Ibrahim Maruti has resumed duty with Mbale Heroes and today leads the team in an away Top Radio Super League tie against Masaka LC in Masaka. Club vice chairman, Steven Namonyo said Maruti met with the club executive committee and ironed out the differences.
