CELEBRATED Ugandan soccer referee Ali Tomusange is slowly recovering after undergoing an ‘Electro Zap’ treatment on the injuries he sustained during an armed robbery attack Friday night. A colleague, Ali Waiswa, said Tomusange lost two front teeth and deep cuts on the head during the attack but could fully recover in three weeks.

Coaches trek
TWELVE coaches are in Kasese and Kabale districts to conduct a week-long clinic in primary schools. Richard Okia is leading the team that has Amos Kyazze, Emmanuel Gonahasa and Richard Sempa from the Uganda Cricket Association’s development programme.

Jinja offer
JINJA Football Academy and schools in the municipality are to receive a football kit from Trafford city. The kit is from friends in city through the Trafford-Jinja Association (TJA) that promotes twinning of the two cities. The donation is aimed at promoting soccer among Jinja youths. Two coaches from Jinja will in July train in Trafford.

Bikers move
TWELVE Ugandan bikers tagged “Ambassadors of Hope”, Sunday started a 5500km ride to Kampala in Johannesburg. The team is raising sh150m, which will go to orphans in Uganda. Team leader Bernie Runnebaum said before flying to South Africa that they would also use the trek to raise HIV/AIDS awareness.Ends
