THE Nnabagereka, Sylvia Nagginda, has praised the German SOS Kinderdof International Charity for coming to the rescue of Uganda’s children.

Speaking at the inauguration of the second SOS Children’s Village at Abayita Ababiri, Entebbe in Wakiso district on Sunday, Nagginda said all children needed unreserved love and care.

“We need to show these children love. They are entitled to love, care and education just like the rest. This is a very important and just cause,” she said.

Nagginda thanked the charity for the love and care it gives to orphaned children.

She decried the social evils that render many children parentless and homeless.

Nagginda awarded the home’s mothers with certificates of recognition, and urged them to work more towards alleviating the plight of the children and making them feel loved.

The SOS president, Helmut Kutin, called for global support to needy children.

“We have many needy children the world over and we must provide space in our hearts for them. We want to contribute to the joy of these sorrowful children,” he said.

Kutin said the Government and SOS should “put a loving soul in the village, to ensure support to the children as future citizens.”

The 120-capacity home will complement those in Gulu district and Kakiri in Wakiso district.
