SIR— Ambulance drivers from Mengo and Rubaga hospitals take emergency/urgent/very ill patients to Mulago Hospital through Wandegeya almost daily.

The drivers sound the sirens and ordinary drivers give way. This is all well and good.
However, on their way back, with only the nurse(s) who accompanied the patient, the drivers again sound the sirens, especially towards 5 o’clock. I urge drivers to stop the habit.
