THE criminal session of the Lira High Court on Tuesday sentenced two people to death.
They were convicted for murder and aggravated robbery after Justice Engena Maitum found them guilty.
Janet Koli, a housewife was convicted for strangling her co-wife’s child on August 24, 2000 in Apac.
Koli strangled Molly Agwel, 4, and dumped the body in a swamp.
Philips Okello, a boda boda cyclist of Ayer sub-county in Apac district, was sentenced to death for aggravated robbery.
Okello robbed Sam Odur of sh2.7m and shot him in the right leg on August 12, 2000.
Maitum said the convicts had violated the Penal Code Act 272 and 283.
