AN Israeli construction company, Solel Boneh International, has begun upgrading the sh31.5b Karuma-Olwiyo road through the Murchison National Game Park in Gulu district.

AN Israeli construction company, Solel Boneh International, has begun upgrading the sh31.5b Karuma-Olwiyo road through the Murchison National Game Park in Gulu district.
The managing director SBI, Boaz Ferenc, said in interview that over 10km of bush clearing and 2km of earth-works had been done from Karuma towards Olwiyo.
He said the project covered 46km and the contractual period was 36 months, which ends in mid 2006.
Boaz said M/S Tahal Consulting Engineers Limited was their consultant for the project.
SBI was the company, which up-graded the sh42b Arua-Nebbi road.
Boaz said they would complete the work in the stipulated time because they had the equipment and manpower.
