TORNADO CC booked a place in the semi-finals of the Mawanda Cup with a 91 run victory over Wanderers at Kyambogo oval yesterday.
Joel Olweny (68) rose to the occasion with an impressive half-century that lifted the side from 58 runs in 20 overs to 100 in 27 before he was caught by Joshua Mwanja.
U-19 heroes Hamza Saleh (69) and Emmanuel Issaneez (28) struggled in vein as Wanderers got stranded at 139 all out in the 40th over.
At Entebbe oval, Richard Okia hit an unbeaten 53 and bowled tight to lead Maruti CC to a crushing six-wicket victory. Nile new signing Tom Tikolo top scored with 28.
