One arrested<br>JINJA — The Violent Crimes Crack Unit recently arrested a suspected thug identified as Santos Okoth, with a gun and 20 bullets in an operation at plot 28, Main Street. The Police said the arrest followed complaints about night robberies on Jinja- Iganga highway.

Kamuli sued
KAMULI — A vehicle spare-parts firm recently sued the district seeking to recover over sh3m. It is alleged that Kobyo Auto Engineering and Construction Company Limited supplied the district with spare-parts in October 2003 but it defaulted on payments despite the reminders.

Man charged
JINJA — A suspected burglar who allegedly broke into an apartment, tortured its occupant and looted property was recently charged with theft before the grade two magistrate, Felix Omara. Mulondo Kiggundu allegedly attacked Yoweri Bwana at Mafubira and stole property worth sh300,000.
