BELL Lager in partnership with The New Vision, Capital FM and Nile Hotel Kampala has come on board to sponsor Sean Paul live concert due on April 9.

Bell marketing manager Marion Adengo announced the co-sponsorship of Sean Paul’s first ever visit to Africa. The show will take place at the Nile Hotel gardens on Good Friday.

Adengo was on Thursday addressing a press conference at the Uganda Breweries plant in Luzira.

She said Bell was committed to rewarding its drinkers with world-class entertainment.

“Bell being a world class beer, we are proud to be associated with world class entertainment,” she said.

Bell brand manager Oscar Mulira said the tickets would be sold at all Shell petrol stations in Kampala starting April 2.

Sean Paul, 30, is the biggest dancehall reggae entertainer to hit the music scene in 20 years. He has influenced the movement of reggae and dance hall in America and Europe so much that he is referred to as a modern Bob Marley.

Last month at the prestigious Grammy awards he walked away with the award of the best reggae album “Dutty Rock”
Capital Sales manager Paul Mwalimu said Capital FM was involved because Sean Paul’s music was well researched and appealed to the target group.

“We shall be giving out tickets to the listeners as long as you call in during the show and tell the time Paul’s number was played,” he said.

New Vision circulation manager Tom Waswa said, “We are always proud to be associated with winners. Coupons will be coming out in The New Vision.”
