APAC — The Ministry of Works, Transport and Communication released over sh100m for feeder roads in the district last year. The chief administrative officer, Faustin Olwitingol, said recently that sh128,193,800 was injected for rehabilitation of a 10km-road network under poverty action funds project.

SOS assisted
GULU — The newly opened SOS Children’s Village in the district has received sh15m from FIDUGA company limited. John Rutten, the company’s director, recently handed over the cheque to Sos board of trustees’ vice chairman James Mulwana at the Sos headquarters at Abaitaababiri in Entebbe.

IDPs receive
WAKISO — State minister for health Capt. Mike Mukula recently received items worth sh3m on behalf of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in northern and eastern Uganda. The items were contributed by the people of Wakiso. They included clothes, shoes and cups.
