UGANDA Amateur Boxing Federation (UABF) has named a squad of 15 boxers to prepare for the Africa Zone V championship

UGANDA Amateur Boxing Federation (UABF) has named a squad of 15 boxers to prepare for the Africa Zone V championship.
The team that mostly comprises junior boxers was named after the national trial that concluded at Lugogo on Sunday.
The regional championship due in Nairobi, Kenya on May 9-16 will be a good taste for the upcoming boxers.
UABF secretary Sande Musoke said yesterday the championship would be a major step in grooming a future national team.
Five Olympic bound boxers in the senior team — the Bombers are fine-tuning for the Athens Games at Speke Resort, Munyonyo courtesy of Ezra Boxing Board (EBB).
The squad; P. Adyak (l/fly), M. Sebbi (fly), M. Kabuye, R. Iga (bantam), B. Stephen, G. Aliga (feather), H. Abdu (light), O. Binka (l/welter), M. Kibirige, H. Hassad (welter), H. Wandera, M. Kulabako (middle), T. Sekabira (l/heavy), A. Katende and M. Sekabira (heavy).
