Museveni opposed
KAMPALA — President Yoweri Museveni’s decision to allow importation of Genetically Modified foods has been contested by environmentalists and politicians. MP for Lubaga South, Ken Lukyamuzi has said that Genetically Modified foods were equally contentious because of the negative health implications. Museveni, while speaking at the recently concluded meeting for African countries on food security, said importation of GMOs should be put on hold until bio-safety regulations are put in place. But he accepted the Genetically Modified
foods (GMOs)which have sparked off global debates.

Wildlife clubs back
