BELATED Uganda Hockey Association (UHA) general assembly finally elected former executive member Chris James their new chairman on Saturday. He was unanimously voted to take over from Arthur De Mello who stepped down after serving a second two-term. Dan Mulindwa and Sanyu Sharifah are vice chairman and secretary respectively.

KAMPALA City Council (KCC) team eliminated defending champions KAVC to reach the women’s finals in Kigali. They however finished second behind Kenya.

ROBERT Kiwanuka has been elected as the first Chairman of the Uganda Amahiri Sport Association (UASA) during the inaugural Annual General assembly held at Old Kampala SS on Saturday. The occasion was presided over by National Council of Sports official Timothy Ssemakula who represented the State Sports Minister Okello Oryem.

The Corporate League football has got a much-needed boost with the intervention of the Health ministry. Speaking to the members of the Corporate league, in the ministry board room, Hon. Capt. Mike Mukula said that it is the mandate of the ministry to take good care of the health of all Ugandans.
