BATA Shoe Company Uganda has injected sh120m in reopening its Eagen House branch on Kampala Road.

Bata’s managing director Paul Jakubec said the outlet was relocated in December last year because the landlord wanted a banking institution to occupy the premises.

He said the building’s new management contacted them in March to take up the premises which they did.

During the opening last week, Jakubec said Bata planned to open up 10 more outlets throughout the country to make a total of 33 outlets in Uganda.

“Majority of our expansion will be in Kampala but we shall also provide quality shoes at low prices to the districts which do not have Bata outlets,” he said.
