THE two favourites for the national women’s volleyball league title, KCC and KAVC, opened their campaigns Sunday with easy victories.
Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC) defeated Cubs 3-1 in the opening match at Makerere ground while Kampala City Council (KCC)overcame the same club in straight sets. KCC won 25-12, 25-11, 25-14 .
Old Kampala Deaf (OKD) team won one game against Tigers but was humbled by Sport-S.
“After the first set, we relaxed a little and we committed too many errors, but we hope that our team improves as the league progresses,†said OKD star setter Sam Okello.
