Africa wins at Makerere College

AFRICA House has performed best at this year’s Music, Dance and Drama Festival of Makerere College School. The prestigious Makerere Performing Arts (MAPA) competitions happened at Makerere University main Hall on Sunday, May 2.

AFRICA House has performed best at this year’s Music, Dance and Drama Festival of Makerere College School. The prestigious Makerere Performing Arts (MAPA) competitions happened at Makerere University main Hall on Sunday, May 2.
Africa won with 862 points.
Kabalega House was second and Lumumba third with 833 and 830 points, respectively.
The students competed in a variety of items including sight reading, Western choral singing, African solos, set pieces, traditional folk singing, poetry, English speeches, traditional/creative dances and drama.
