KITGUM LC5 chairperson, Nahaman Ojwee has embarked on a sensitisation tour in the sub-counties to educate people on how to benefit from the Northern Uganda Social Action Fund (NUSAF).
In a telephone interview recently, Ojwee said few people had benefited from the fund.
He urged residents to come up with developmental projects to be approved for funding.
Ojwee said the district recently submitted over 20 projects to NUSAF offices, but only nine were approved for funding.
“We want our people to benefit from this programme so as increase their household income.
Few people have benefited so far. That is why we are telling more people to apply,†he said.
