Kefa Mulondo walked into the house looking very pleased with himself.

"Come my children I have important news!" he said.
Seven-year-old Samsoni clapped his hands and ran up to his father. Nalu came and sat besides him on the old brown settee. Muko pulled up a chair from the dinning table.
"Are you getting a new taxi?" Muko asked eagerly. "George told us Hajji bought all his drivers new taxis. They are parked in his yard."
His father shook his head.
"It's not a new taxi it is something better!" Kefa Mulondo smiled.
"Better than a new taxi, you've bought a car?" Samsoni squealed.
"Is that all you children can think of, a new car? Things that are really important in life are things you can't touch!” Mulondo cried.
"Like happiness!" Nalu smiled.
"Exactly, so what is the most important thing a parent can give his children?" Mulondo looked from one face to the other.
"I know," Samsoni put up his hand.
"Toys"
"You can touch toys," Kefa Mulondo laughed.
"Love," Nalu said.
"That's not the answer I want.”
"A good education Dad," Muko beamed. Everything Muko knew he got from the radio.
"Correct, I am taking you all to a new school."
"A new school!" the children exclaimed. Mrs. Mulondo walked into the room.
"We are going to a new school!" Samsoni told her. "A new school," Mrs. Mulondo frowned. "This is the first I'm hearing of this."
"Wife, I have enrolled the children at "Abundant Joy Primary School. The new school at the end of our road. The head mistress took me round today and I was convinced. She showed me the classes, dormitories, everything."
"A boarding school!" Nalu cried.
"How much are the fees?" Mrs. Mulondo exclaimed.
"They are not going to charge me like other people. The school gave me a special discount," said Mulondo.
"It's because you are an important person Dad. LC1 chairman is not a joke," Muko nodded at his father.
"I don't think it's good to change Nalu and Muko. They will be candidates next year," she frowned.
"I don't mind leaving my school. I'm learning nothing," Muko sneered.
"You're right!" his mother sighed. "You came last again. We shall change you and Samsoni but Nalu should stay."
