When MTN's Erik van Veen (right) flew into Uganda in June 1998, he was a nobody. But when he left in September 2003, just about everybody in Uganda had heard of him. In fact, he was Uganda’s best known expat.
When MTN's Erik van Veen (right) flew into Uganda in June 1998, he was a nobody. But when he left in September 2003, just about everybody in Uganda had heard of him. In fact, he was Uganda’s best known expat. Last Saturday, Erik flew into tawo on a five-day sojourn and wasted no time catching up on the Kampala party scene. He spent Saturday night at Bowsers Just Kicking sports bar. On Monday after a quick drink in the Sheraton’s Rhino Bar, he was off to Bubbles O'Leary. He then flew out on Wednesday.
