REFORM Agenda (RA) has embarked on a recruitment drive in preparation for registration as a party in July.

Speaking at the launch of the recruitment and registration of the party membership in Buganda region at Kansanga on Saturday, RA vice-chairperson Sam Njuba said the process would continue countrywide till June 30.

He said the removal of bad laws had created a good environment for RA to register as a party.

Njuba said RA, a hitherto political pressure group headed by exiled Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye, would register as a party after holding a national conference on July 3.

RA officials supervised the exercise in Kampala Masaka, Mpigi and Mubende districts.
MP Taban Kibanzanga (Busongora South) said they had booked the party’s name, picked registration forms and were soliciting for signatures and would thereafter embark on making the party constitution.

Makindye division RA chief Livingstone Kizito accused the Movement of trying to sabotage the exercise by organising a nearby event.
