Alex Craft steps forth
His style, for a contemporary young artiste, borrows an awful lot from Sweden-based Nigerian rapper, Dr Alban’s late ‘80s style typified in It’s My Life. He modifies it with what many have called kidandali style and raps over this in English and Swahili. Alex Craft, real names Alex Senoga’s, story is as intriguing as his musical preference. The 22-year-old, a fresher at Makerere University Business School pursuing a BA in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management, had to forfeit his living out allowance to make his first record. He supplemented it with sales of agricultural produce from his native Kayanda in Luweero. Result? A Steve Jean-produced record.
