RAKAI district chairperson Vincent Semakula has warned anti-third term agitators to stop going to the district or else they will be beaten up.

“What you experienced last Saturday was just a warm-up. We shall tell security personnel to beat you up thoroughly, if you dare come back,” he said.

He was on Wednesday addressing residents of Kyotera town at Kasambya playground at the Heroes’ Day celebrations.

Semakula said members of the Popular Resistance Against Life Presidency (PRALP), were destabilising peace in the district adding that they deserved to be beaten.

“We shall discipline you because we have the capacity,” he added.
He lashed out at those who make phone calls to radio stations to abuse the President, saying they not only waste money but also mislead the country.

Resident district commissioner Allen Kemerwa warned those who hate President Yoweri Museveni’s to stop abusing him because he is the number one in the country.
She promised to find out the person who allowed PRALP members to go to Rakai.

Kemerwa said PRALP leaders were self-seekers who were taking advantage of the ignorance of the youths to gain popularity.

“That is why none of them was arrested but the hooligans from Kampala and Masaka,” she said, referring to the PRALP members arrested in Kyotera town recently.

Kemerwa also lashed out at the Democratic Party (DP) leaders for being rigid and lacking vision, saying, “They have no sense of direction and development. That’s why most of us left the party yet our parents were staunch DP supporters.”
