A new political group, Forum for Alternative Leadership in Uganda, has accused the assistant Registrar of Names

A new political group, Forum for Alternative Leadership in Uganda, has accused the assistant Registrar of Names, Juliet Nassuna, of deliberately refusing to register them, despite their compliance with all requirements.

Addressing the press at the National Theatre in Kampala yesterday, the group chairman, Webster Lukwiya, said Nassuna used “flippant grounds” to sabotage them.
“Our political organisation has been singled out as a pariah organisation,” he said.

Lukwiya said when they first went to register with her office as the Pan-African Movement for Alternative Leadership in Uganda, but Nassuna told them their symbol had been claimed by another party and that she again rejected the name on flimsy grounds.
