RUEBEN Twijukye has been included on the national team preparing for the World Junior Athletics Championship in Italy. The event is set for July 11-18.
Twijukye, a former Makerere College student who has been training in Kenya, was included on the team after the Kenya Athletics Federation confirmed his 200m and 400m times with the Uganda Amateur Athletic Federation (UAAF).
Despite having got six air tickets, UAAF is still looking for three more air tickets and funds for the external upkeep while in Italy, to make the trip a success.
The team of seven also has Boniface Kiprop, Raymond Diogo, Stephen Akena, Jet Kwemwoko, Waisswa Lukungu and Moses Aliwa.
