CRANES coach Mike Mutebi yesterday maintained he wouldn’t swap any of his youngsters for any of the Ghanaian 19 professional players scheduled to step foot in the country today.

Uganda entertains Ghana in an explosive 2006 World Cup/Nations Cup fixture tomorrow with youthful tactician Mutebi adamant his side, inspired by the late insertion of key defender Ibrahim Sekagya, would go head to head, confident the four-midfield cards he intends to lay down will be aces compared to the star-studded Black Stars side.

“It will definitely get down to the basics and not how many professional players you have in the team. The crop of talent in the team is simply exciting and I couldn’t be wrong if I said we are favourites,” said Mutebi.

Mutebi believes Noah Kasule and Assan Bajope are such strong characters, gifted footballers in midfield that they will doubtlessly impose themselves in a game he believes will be a must win if they are to conserve their own destiny.

He however revealed of holding a private chat with his probable attackers Hassan Mubiru and Jamil Kyambadde, just to remind the two about ‘how much faith’ he has in them and that tomorrow could be the day the two will have to remind their doubters of their enduring class.
