The Uganda Red Cross Society (URCS) has donated over 800 tarpaulins and large quantities of washing soap to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Pabbo IDP camp whose huts were burnt recently, writes Alex Odongo.
Handing over the relief items recently, the Gulu URCS branch field coordinator, Terence Omonya, said people living in IDP camps were entitled to good shelter sanitation.
He said the donation was in line with the URCS principles of humanity and voluntary service.
The Pabbo LC3 chairperson, Christopher Ojera, thanked URCS for the timely intervention.
He said over 800 families were sleeping in the cold after the recent mysterious fire.
