THE United States International University (USIU) team leads the Kenya array in the battle for supremacy as the East Africa hockey club championship gets underway at Lugogo today. The Nairobi-based outfit is part of the four Kenyan clubs that arrived yesterday. Other teams are Armed Forces (men), Sliders and Nairobi Eaglets (women).

UGANDA lost out from playing in ICC intercontinental Cup in Dubai next month when Kenya held Namibia in Nairobi Sunday. Uganda, who beat Namibia and lost to Kenya, finished second on 41 points while Kenya were top with 47.5 points.

CLUB House brought their league campaign back on track with victory over Roof Top at the weekend. The 12-9 win in Kampala, pushed Club House to 20 points and to third position. Francis Sengendo was Club House’s lead gun.
