BAKER Kwalikunda pulled off his biggest win in golf by taking the Hot Loaf Open on Sunday.
Kwalikunda carded 127 nett to claim his first Uganda Golf Union award at the par-68 Kabale club course.
The handicap 17 player, who took up golf in 2001, also led Kabale golfers to a powerful finish.
The champion carded 62 on the first 18 and 65 on the second to go top.
The new hero was two strokes better than the more experienced and 2001 winner Benson Sunday.
Kwalikunda ended the two-year reign by his colleague, Sam Tumwijukye, who had a bad run this time.
The annual event that drew over 40 players, was sponsored by Hot Loaf Bakery Limited.
George Kituku of Fort Portal Club is one of few visiting golfers who shone. The veteran took the gross title.
Another Fort Portal player Enid Kaijuka, also celebrated victory by taking the ladies event at 160.
