THE Central Organisation of Free Trade Unions (COFTU) has blasted the National Organisation of Trade Unions (NOTU) over their plan to recall Workers MP Dr. Sam Lyomoki from Parliament.

“COFTU scoffs at and condemns such evil maneuvers that are the brain of the two NOTU leaders, David Nkojjo, the chairman general and Ongaba Otong Leymoi, the secretary general,” COFTU industrial relations officer Bob Sifuna said.

Addressing the press at their Nakulabye offices in Kampala, Sifuna said the NOTU delegates’ conference had no mandate to recall any workers’ MP.

“It would be total madness for the NOTU leadership to imagine that they can effectively recall Dr. Sam Lyomoki,” Sifuna said.
