YUMBE — Resident district commissioner Drani Dradriga has launched the district Young Movementists Forum to get support for the Movement and promote a third term in office for President Yoweri Museveni. The forum, chaired by Rahman Ondoga, was launched at the 42nd Independence celebrations at Eleke Primary School in Apo sub-county on Saturday.

Federo plea
KIBOGA — Defence state minister Ruth Nankabirwa has told residents to shun meetings organised by the opposition to discuss the federo issue. Addressing a public rally at Kiryannongo Primary School on Sunday, Nankabirwa said opposition politicians were taking advantage of federo to decampaign the Government.

MP hails
PADER — Woman MP Santa Okot has commended President Yoweri Museveni and the district leadership for appointing Sylvester Opira the resident district commissioner. In a statement on Friday, Okot said Opira was a dedicated and committed person, who would promote government programmes.

Chief urges
JINJA — Energy state minister Daudi Migereko has urged Ugandans to support the East African regional federation. Addressing residents on Saturday, Migereko said the federation would ease trade among the three countries, which would lead to regional development.
