If Justine Kabuuka was to sing in the secular realm, she would probably be in the stakes of top-flight crowd thrillers like Titi of KADS Band or even the latest entrant, Winni Munyenga. The only difference is in her lyrics, which supplants their common themes on women, men and love with Jesus Christ.
Her latest album entitled Ntambula Baseka is testimony of her potential exploits with her voice and the microphone. The CD project is loaded with six tracks. The CD was done in Kasiwukira studio. It is the typical Afro-beat with a medley of slow, mid-tempo and fast track records.
Kibuuka transcends the customary role of being a house help to her husband, pastor Nelson Kabuuka of Exodus ministries, by adding a musical flavour to their marital affair. Her involvement with the praise and worship team more than anything else gave her momentous leverage into pursuing a recording career and indeed she is firm on the trail. On stage, she is supported by inspirational dancers. Kibuuka’s title track Ntambula Baseka carries lyrics which go: Ntambula Baseka Ntambula Bakudaala, Naye Bulikya, Alinyimusa Abantu Balyewunya (Though they laugh and mock me now, one day God will raise me up and they will all marvel).
