COCA COLA has extended their sponsorship to university football with an initial sh12m package.
The package that was handed to National Council of Sports by Coca Cola manager Kennedy Mutenyo on Friday caters for the inaugural Coca-Cola University Football Championship that kicks off today.
The event jointly organised with the National Universities Sports Union Federation (NUSUF) has drawn football teams from Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Nkozi, Kyambogo, Ndejje, Kabale, Christian University Mukono, Makerere University Business School (MUBS), Makerere University, Bugema, Nkumba, Mbarara and Gulu.
Under their flagship brands, Century Bottling Company also sponsors post-primary schools basketball, cricket, rugby, volleyball and football.
