Unlike other nights at Steak Out, which are always dominated by disc spinning, last Saturday was different.

Makerere University undergraduates were given a warm welcome at the nightspot on Lumumba Avenue. Benson & Hedges sponsored the freshers’ karaoke night and it really worked out. The emcee, RS Elvis, did his best work.

Although it was not advertised, the night caught ‘fire’ because of a good number of freshers from out of town.

Coca cola Pop Star, Kefa Mwesigwa was the first to grace the function, miming Sex Lady by Shaggy and was followed by Toolman and Lyrical G, while Benson & Hedges were busy giving out prizes.

Hope Mukasa of Sabrina’s Pub was supposed to close the function, but he was un able and so it ended unceremoniously.
