Driver fined
KAMPALA — Court has ordered a taxi driver to pay a sh300,000 fine for parking in the middle of the road to load passengers. Nakawa Court sentenced Sam Kizito of Ntinda, after he pleaded guilty to the charge. He was charged with careless driving.

Two arrested
NTUNGAMO — The Police arrested two people for loitering around a building, in which senior four students were doing their examinations at Ntunga-mo High School on Tuesday. The Police on Wednesday identified the suspects as Benjamin Ijuka, a senior three student and Kacumu.

MPs in break
KAMPALA — Speaker Edward Ssekandi has adjourned Parliament to allow MPs to consult their constituents on the Government White Paper. He adjourned the House on Thursday to the second week of November. This was after the House had handled most of the clauses of the UPDF Bill, 2003.
