A Makerere University first year student recently amused passengers when he refused to pay his taxi fare saying he was government sponsored, writes Kizito Musa
The student identified as Peter, boarded a taxi from the Old Taxi park to campus. When the conductor demanded for the fare, Peter said he was government sponsored and was entitled to free transport. He then began exchanging punches with the conductor.
One passenger intervened and convinced Peter to pay the sh500 fare.
