— The father of a man who was reportedly picked up seven months ago has ran to court, demanding his son’s release by the security agencies. Haji Sulait Mugisa of Rwimi, asked the court to have his son, Eng. Hakim Kusemererwa, produced by either the Army Commander, Lt. Gen. Aronda Nyakairima, or the Police Chief, Maj. Gen. Katumba Wamala.

— State minister for health Capt. Mike Mukula has called upon Ugandans to grant President Yoweri Museveni a third term. He said Museveni had enabled the country to attain social and economic development. Mukula was recently officiating at a fundraising function for Nanziga Adventist Primary School at Hotel Africana.

— The resident district commissioner, Perez Katamba, has decried the rampant corruption in the district. He was on Friday speaking at the district council chambers during drama festivals organised by primary schools in the district, to mark this year’s anti-corruption week.
