The Electoral Commission (EC) has set November 10 and 11 as nomination dates for the by-election of the MP for Bamunanika county in Luweero district to replace Dr. Kisamba Mugerwa
The Electoral Commission (EC) has set November 10 and 11 as nomination dates for the by-election of the MP for Bamunanika county in Luweero district to replace Dr. Kisamba Mugerwa, reports John Odyek.
Mugerwa resigned in July after getting a job with the International Food Policy Research Institute in Ethiopia.
Deputy EC chairperson Sr. Margaret Magoba on Friday said the nominations would be conducted at Luweero district headquarters starting at 9:00am and ending at 5:00pm.
Meanwhile, Milton Olupot reports that EC has banned fundraising activities in the county during the by-election.
Magoba said the ban was meant to allow a levelled ground for the candidates.
