NATIONAL Insurance Corporation (NIC) netball team put an exclamation point on their outstanding netball league season.

NIC overwhelmed rivals Police in a one-sided match at Nakivubo Stadium courts to continue their dominance of the national netball league on their way to picking up their sixth consecutive league title.

The champions had earlier defeated Posta 44-32 before their grand finale against Police whom they walloped to finish yet another season undefeated.

Meanwhile, Christine Ojamuge’s three goals in the dying minutes were enough to clinch victory for the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) team and keep their East, Central and Southern Africa (ECSAN) netball club championship dreams alive.

URA surged to a narrow three-point win over the Kampala City Council (KCC) team to finish the season in second place and book a slot in the upcoming ECSAN championship event slated for December 6-11 in Zanzibar.

Four teams that finished in the top positions in the national league, including tournament defending champions NIC, will compete in the one-week event.

Prisons also produced four fourth quarter scores pushing the mail ladies-Posta further into fifth place on the table to book the fourth and final berth to represent Uganda in the ECSAN championships.
