I feel very weak,” a top Forum for Democratic Change official, Louis Otika, cried out in a city suburb clinic yesterday. He looks very pale. His lips were dry. His face was contorted with pain. His right hand was clutching his stomach as if to squeeze out the pain.

Three sentenced
KAMPALA — They posed as lorry buyers, stole the vehicle and smuggled it to Burundi. However, luck ran out for the three conmen, when they were smoked out of Burundi and brought back to Uganda, where the law caught up with them. Nakawa Court Magistrate Margaret Mafabi sentenced Moses Mutungi, Issa Kubahiro and Asuman Kaggwa to four years in jail.

Janet mourns
MBARARA — First Lady janet museveni has mourned the President’s Rwakitura aide, Arthur Akoragye, who was shot dead by unknown thugs last week. In a letter to the mourners in Nyabushozi on Saturday, Janet said Akoragye was well-behaved and a born-again Christian.

Nine jailed
KISORO — Court has sentenced nine Congolese to 12 months in jail for illegally entering Uganda between November 2 and 5. They pleaded guilt. Court ruled that they would be deported after serving the sentence.
