MOYO — The Police have said the rate of accidents in the district is increasing, despite constant sensitisation. Sources from the traffic office said in October seven people died, 14 were seriously injured in accidents involving eight vehicles and a boat.

UPC gets
LIRA — Moroto county movement chairman Angelo Okello Ajoka, has crossed back to the Uganda People’s Congress (UPC), citing movement weaknesses in abiding by the 1995 Constitution and the Constitutional Review Commission report.

PWDs irked
GULU — Persons With Disabilities (pwds) northern MP Margaret Baba Diri has complained about irregularities in accessing money from the Northern Uganda Social Action Fund. This was during a consultative meeting with PWDs on Monday.

Youth appeal
LIRA — The district youth chairman, Denis Hamson Obua, has appealed to the government to integrate youth-friendly services in health units, to enable youth go for voluntary counselling and testing for HIV. He was addressing a youth seminar on Monday.

Amnesty aids
GULU — The Amnesty commission, through the World Vision children of war rehabilitation programme, recently donated tools worth sh7.6m to Agonga Youth Technical Institute. The tools were for brick laying, carpentry and bicycle repair.
