I insist, gather us please!

SIR— I wrote a letter, “Gather us!”, in the October 11 edition. I dedicated it to the Toro elders so that they might comment on the facts of the existence of the grandchildren of the Scottish explorer James Grant who restored Omukama Kasagama to the throne.

It’s now a complete year without response. I have listened to almost all themes about Toro Kingdom and its history on the Voice of Toro FM, read the kingdoms magazine Engabu za Toro and my ear is ever on the local programmes hosted by the Rev Baguma Adyeeri “Toro Negyaha?”

Oh God! It hurts to exist gravely without knowing your ancestry!

Do the leaders and elders I am talking about know themselves or do they want to be mentioned? Let them make hay while the sun shines. But they should remember that it is never too late to mend.
