NATIONAL Council of Sports (NCS) has branded the recent FUFA and national coach Mohammed Abbas contractual agreement as fake and a shame to the country.

FUFA on October 1 gave Egyptian Mohammed Abbas a three-year contract with a possibility to renew it after expiry.

Abbas has since pleaded his ignorance of the missing requirements and NCS general secretary Jasper Aligawesa advised him to return the copy to Mengo and ensure the Federation fulfil their obligations before he continues with the job.

“We have received a copy of the contract but we are not satisfied with it. Being the major document that binds the two countries (Egypt and Uganda), I expected FUFA to give Abbas a complete contract, which must even be registered by our registrar,” NCS general secretary Aligawesa said as he read through the three-page copy.

The contract was drafted by FUFA lawyers Mwesigwa-Rukutana and Company Advocates and was signed by FUFA president Denis Obua, secretary Haruna Mawanda and Abbas.
