USE turnover hits sh6m

UGANDA Securities Exchange (USE) had a turnover of sh6.5m in the week to Thursday compared with sh1.6m last Thursday.

UGANDA Securities Exchange (USE) had a turnover of sh6.5m in the week to Thursday compared with sh1.6m last Thursday.
DFCU was the only counter with activity during the week. It had a turnover of sh4,960,000 after trading 16,000 shares at sh310 each on Thursday and sh1,581,000 on Tuesday.
The all share index, which is the performance indicator of the bourse, dropped to 382.97 points from 408.70 last Thursday following a slip in the share price of East African Breweries. The share price dropped to sh2,297 from 2,486 last Thursday.
Market capitalisation also decreased to sh1,844.5b from 1,968.5b last Thursday.
British American Tobacco offered a share at sh1,145, while Bank of Baroda’s were at sh800.
Kenya Airways’ share price dropped by sh5 to sh383 while Uganda Clays’s was steady at sh8,010.
