THE ultimate moment of truth has arrived for Justine Kabuuka when she launches her maiden album

THE ultimate moment of truth has arrived for Justine Kabuuka when she launches her maiden album. The launch will be a momentous achievement in Kibuuka’s budding music career.

On Sunday, she will be unwrapping her new CD, Namusenga Natangoba, at Makerere Redeemed Church. This album boasts of its hit track, Ntambula Baseka, the most promising single, which has captured her audience’s imagination. Her collection of heart-endearing lyrics and nerve jerking soca music stunts easily combine to elicit emotion from her audience.

Kibuuka is a gospel music artiste curving her niche among the popular singers on the local scene. She sings in Luganda and her songs have messages of encouragement in a simple manner.

Ntambula baseka can be a healing balm for the soul. It has lines such as Ntambula bakudaala, naye bulikya alinyimusa abantu balyewuunya (I am ridiculed as I walk, but one day, He will raise me up and they will marvel at me).

The Sunday show will be curtain-raised by Deborah Kitonsa, Wilson Bugembe, Joan Makumbi, Kilwana McAfrica, Living Sounds and the 2004 PAM Awards nominee, Grace Morgan.

The show begins at 3:00pm and entry will be sh3,000. Kibuuka recorded the album from Namex studios in Kampala.
