FEDERATION of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) presidential candidate Michael Okiror has unveiled a 23-man campaign team. Okiror, who claims to have 88 delegates backing him, said he needed to woe 12 more delegates to win the February 5 polls comfortably. The assembly is composed of 157 delegates. Dennis Mbide has been proposed as head.

DARTS: UDA starts
THE darts season opens with a series of seminars starting on January 8, 2005 at Lugogo. Uganda Darts Association (UDA) chairman Abbey Ariong said wide ranging seminars involving Kampala clubs will cover management and administration. Busoga clubs will hold theirs on January 9.

GENERAL: Magala says
NATIONAL Council of Sports Administrative Officer Timothy Semakula Magala has appealed to peer educators to remain united and share knowledge in order to achieve their goal of fighting HIV/ AIDS epidemic in the country. Semakula made the remark during official closing of a three-day workshop for northern districts at the weekend.

TENNIS: Clinic breaks
THE on-going Lugogo holiday tennis clinic will take a break for the Christmas holiday on Friday, this week. The event, that has been on for the past two weeks, drew over 50 children around Kampala. The clinic geared towards grooming young talent resumes a week after the festive season, according to coach John Oduke.
